Q. Do you sell products other than what's shown in your on-line catalog?
A. Yes we do. Action Screen Print is a member of The Advertising Specialties Institute (ASI) which gives us access to over 600,000 items from thousands of suppliers. Our on-line catalog is only a small sampling of some of the more popular items.
Q. What do you mean by the term digitizing?
A. Digitizing, sometimes referred to as Punching, is the process by which a design is converted into computer code so an embroidery machine can perform the necessary movements to create an embroidery of the image.
Q. Do you actually stock all the items in your catalog.
A. No. We order blank garments daily on an order by order basis from wholesale distributors and then decorate them when they are received at our facility.
Q. What if I know what kind of design I want on my shirts but I don't have any artwork?
A. There are several levels of service we can provide for you. We have an in-house design department that can develop a logo or design for. They have all the tools of the trade at their disposal from standard clip art, hand drawing, and computer generated graphics to sub-contracting to professional artists and designers.
Q. What's that white felty stuff on this underside of my embroidered shirt?
A. That felty stuff is called backer. It's purpose is to hold the fabric stable while we're embroidering the design. We trim it as close to the design as possible when we're done sewing so it's as unobtrusive as we can get it. P.S. It has to be there, so if you're buying embroidered shirts that don't have a backer on the inside, it's time to find another embroiderer.
